These are the cornerstones of my woodworking design style (of my life-style, I guess, as well). This design I tinkered with in my head for weeks before putting into physical form.

I wanted a design that allowed incredibly rare woods to be enjoyed (without having to smother them with epoxy) where their natural artistry, curves, and unique grain patterns could be felt and appreciated.

So the outer frame is a single piece of walnut that is cut at an angle to cradle the burl maple slabs that I designed into a musical note setting. The walnut also holds the 1/4" thick glass that serves as both the functional table top and also the viewing portal.

The legs are walnut and designed to complement and enhance the walnut frame. There are leveling feet (which you can see in the closeup photo) that not only protect the wood, but also allow the owner to level the table on any surface.

While not proprietary, it is my original design concept. This one is sold, so I would be custom building this for you!.
